ABOUT FLOW TECH

Budova

FLOW TECH products are not consumables; they are rather technologies used in the manufacture of parts and devices, with 70 % of them intended for the manufacture of automotive components. One of our objectives is to design and produce ever more sophisticated systems for our customers, promoting increased productivity and production system stability in terms of quality and ease of operation.

HISTORY

1993

1993

On 2 May 1993, the original tooling shop was transformed into ZPS-NÁSTROJÁRNA, a.s., an autonomous legal entity.

1994

1994

The first full year of autonomous economic operation of the joint-stock company. Stronger foreign customer-orientation Presentations at exhibitions.

1995

1995

Market position strengthened in the demanding and highly competitive tooling sector and machinery industry as a whole. New types of vices and SNV 100 coordinate centring machine developed.

1996

1996

Marked increase in exports of clamping tools, especially to Germany and Sweden. A new type of SNV 65 coordinate centring machine developed and produced.

1997

1997

Further increase in exports, mainly to Germany and Slovakia. Substantial increase in exports of clamping tools. New types of machine vices developed and produced. Range of modular clamping elements offered for machining centres expanded.

1999

1999

Increase in exports of clamping tools to Germany and France; fixtures and assembly fixtures, especially for automotive industry. New majority owner – FLOW TECH, s.r.o.

2000

2000

Automotive industry orientation in the domain of pressing tools. Company restructured with a view to achieving a stable position in the machinery segment.

2001

2001

Stronger focus on pressing tools, with an emphasis on larger tools with a ground area up to 2,000×1,000 mm and weight up to 4,000 kg. New MCFV 2080 machining centre obtained.

2002

2002

Penetrating and securing a strong position in the segment of hydraulic clamping fixtures intended for mass production – for example Automotive industry. ISO 9001:2000 certification obtained.

2004

2004

FLOW TECH acquires the remaining package of ZPS-NÁSTROJÁRNA, a.s. shares, becoming 100% owner of the company. In order to increase the efficiency of mutual cooperation between the two companies, a decision is reached to merge the two operators into a single entity – FLOW TECH, s.r.o.

2005

2005

Based on the merger, the operations of ZPS-NÁSTROJÁRNA, a.s. are transferred to FLOW TECH, s.r.o. As a result, gradual production efficiency enhancements are generated while a proportion of the administrative burden is removed. This was also aided by the introduction of a new IS covering the comprehensive management process across the entire company.

2007

2007

At the turn of 2006 and 2007, a project involving long-term training of senior and middle managers and certain other staff members was successfully implemented. The project was conducted in cooperation with Profima and was co-financed from European social funds and the national budget of the Czech Republic. Yet another major project involved enhancing production capacities through the addition of a new production hall.

2008

2008

Construction work completed on a new production and assembly hall. Test pressing shop completed to fine-tune pressing tools, and routine operation launched for the new horizontal/vertical ANAYAK VH PLUS 4000 machining centre.

2009

2009

Steep drop in repeated production due to the effects of the economic crisis. Single-purpose moulding, welding and machine tools developed and produced and single-purpose machines developed and produced for new generation welding of pressure vessels.

2010

2010

The economic crisis of 2009 – 2010 had an impact on FLOW TECH, s.r.o., too. The drop in orders led to the introduction of crisis measures, which included a partial staff reduction. Nevertheless, we still managed to get a new project underway for the manufacture of new generation pressure vessels – the development of single-purpose machinery – thanks to which the company could emerge in a new product segment. In 2010, in economic terms, we succeeded in bringing the slump in orders to a halt, while mild growth was generated.

2011

2011

Clamping systems supplied to Audi and VW. We provided development and design services for the two companies, as well as production, including adjustment, of clamping tools for a transfer line designed for the production of engine heads. Moreover, we successfully implemented a major project involving clamping assembly fixtures designed for aircraft construction. The project focused on assembly of the leading edge of wings.

2012

2012

A project successfully implemented for NISSAN UK. This company manufactures engines for NISSAN and RENAULT cars. Not only was the project significant for its scope, considering the quantity of clamping devices supplied, but also, and more importantly, for the complexity of the supplies. We successfully completed a turnkey contract for all clamping fixtures, along with the supply of machining technology, including machine run-in, operator training and production process optimisation.

2013

2013

A new information system implemented and interlinked with the design system and electronic data management system. At the end of the year, a third company owner was added.
